Patient Centricity – Singapore's Journey
Singapore has started the National Electronic Health Records (NEHR) platform. The next big question will be: What can the people, care providers, and government do with and benefit from access to personal health records? Electronic medical records arguably hold the key to the beginning of the journey towards patient centricity. Yet, do not lose sight of other critical factors that are also key ingredients of a patient centric healthcare model – patient feedback loop, social media engagement and sustainable consumer model.

Transforming patient care through user-centric mobility initiatives
Social media, consumerization of IT, and changing demographics are fundamentally changing how work gets done in healthcare. The entry of the Net Gen & Gen-X employees into Healthcare brings a new way of looking at problems, and new challenges. These mega trends will cause a new set of enterprise drivers and motivations that will fundamentally change how patients and care providers interact. Healthcare providers need to take on a forward-looking approach to building network infrastructure for future medical facilities, efficient and coordinated patient care, and an enhanced patient experience
