Steven Yeo is the Vice President and Executive Director, Asia Pacific and Middle East, for the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), a global, and the largest U.S., healthcare association focused on information technology. Mr.Yeo’s responsibilities include managing the HIMSS Asia Pacific & Middle operations including but not limited to membership, professional education and development, and conferences. Steven is also the GM for the newly set up HIMSS Analytics Asia in January 2011, a subsidiary of Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) which is a wholly owned not-for-profit healthcare IT organization, is launching an annual pan-Asian healthcare IT report based on the industry recognized HIMSS Analytics EMR Adoption Model which has been proven to aid healthcare IT departments to plan and phase their road map to develop their all important electronic medical records systems. Prior to joining HIMSS in February 2008, Mr. Yeo was the Director for Intel Digital Health Group Asia from 2005 to January 2008. He was also Vice President of Asia (on-loan from Intel) from 2003 to 2005 at RosettaNet. This self-funded consortium, which included leading computing and consumer electronics, electronic components, semiconductor manufacturing, logistics, telecommunications and solution provider companies, worked together to create and implement industry-wide, open e-business process standards from 2003-2005. At Intel, he held various other appointments during his 10 years with the company. These positions included managing Internet marketing & e-commerce, supply chain end-to-end e-business applications and management, and standards management. Steven has over 20 years of industry experience in the healthcare, semiconductor and high-tech industries. He received his MBA from National University of Singapore and the Asia Pacific Executive MBA program; he received a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Honours), from Dalhousie University, Canada.
